A marketplace platform for 2-wheeler spare parts based in Pune, India. The company provides its services via hub and brand aggregation. The marketplace platform comprises over 100 sellers and more than 1 million unique SKU inventory. With over 30 years of experience in the auto spare industry, the company has established its niche in the market. Through its services, it aims at serving buyers across the country by giving them multiple choices and affordable rates through brand, hub, and seller aggregation.

The Problem

The client enjoyed great reach in terms of brands and sellers it is associated with. This led to the creation of more than 1 million unique SKUs in inventory. While incorporating brand and hub aggregation for seamless logistical control, the marketplace became a complicated ecosystem involving sellers, locations, and over 1 million SKUs. The client had tried various solutions but wasn’t able to handle such a high volume of SKUs effectively.

Moreover, the company wanted its entire back office to be driven by SAP Business One along with robust integration and automation for offers.

The focus of the solution was to optimize the resources already available to the client and help the company get more traction from buyers without leaving them confused.

Streamlined Brand And Hub Location

IntelliSource Technologies streamlined the Brand and Hub location by designing a workflow and UX that allowed users to select a specific brand and hub as per their preferences. This ended up becoming a key feature that helped the company attract more sellers as the engine was now capable of directing users to suitable brands and locations at their convenience.

This new workflow and UX resulted in an increase in the footprint of the virtual shops of sellers. When the buyer lands on a seller’s page, they obtain great insights into offer combinations and product variations provided by the concerned seller.

Blended Offer Engine

The blended offer engine was a core feature that needed input from a retail expert. The offer engine works in both directions – selling and purchasing products. This creates profit pockets for the client due to the effective implementation of offer combinations and automated checking of the qualification criteria.

Comparing Parts Offerings

The solution also facilitates seamless comparing of parts for a vehicle across multiple brands on the marketplace. So, if a buyer searches for a splendor clutch cable, the system would give them a list of all clutch cables manufactured by different brands for a specific vehicle.

Seamless SAP Integration

Seamless SAP integration allowed the client to handle over 1,500 transactions on a daily basis. The expertise of IntelliSource in both Magento and SAP helped the client work on and integrate both the systems which were otherwise impossible.

Seller-focused Analytics

Seller-focused analytics was also generated as per the transaction flow through hub and brand integration. This provides sellers with valuable insights into the behavior of the buyers on the platform.
